As part of AQNS Upgradation project which sole purpose is to bring satisfaction to all our clients, we now officially launched a secondary DNS dedicated server. This secondary DNS server is to act as a DNS backup, just in case your primary nameserver fails due to unforeseen circumstances , eg: BIND failing or overloading, your site will still remained up.
This change will not only ensure your site to have a maximum uptime (99.9%), and also speeds up the page load process. And please note that, there are only a few hosts in the hosting industry which use secondary Dedicated DNS servers.
To take benefit on this secondary DNS server, just change your 2nd NS IP to 74.50.99.58 in your domain registrar. Wait for a few hours for propagation, and you are up and ready.
Please note, Only resellers using custom Nameservers have to change the IP. If you are already using:
NS3.AQNS-HOSTING.COM
NS4.AQNS-HOSTING.COM
Then you don’t have to change anything as you are already benefiting from this system.

Yesterday the clients on beast noticed small intervals of DNS unavailability. This was due to the Firewall going crazy and blocking all DNS requests. We have fixed this and it won’t be happening again.

Today morning Beast got slow and sites stopped loading for about 15 minutes, It looked as if the server was down. It wasn’t down but the loads were very high. Reason being that a user used beast for spamming. He started sending over 25000 Emails. It took us around 15 minutes to find the spammer and suspend his account. After which server came back to normal.
Following incidents of spamming we have made a decision to Enable Mod_userdir protection on all servers. It means that you from now on won’t be able to access your site from IP. Example http://IP/~Username
This has been done as for your safety. Because most of the spamming incidents causing 10-15 mins downtime were caused using direct IP access. Disabling it would help these types of incidents to reduce.
